I don't want to jinx anything here so I'll just say that I've made it to the gym two days in a row for a 15 lap freestyle swim. All thanks to the care giving of my husband who has either brought our son to the pool, or watched him at home. I hope to keep this streak of swimming everyday going as long as possible.
I took my brother's advice and stopped weighing myself every day. I weighed in at the gym yesterday, Aug. 13th at 166 pounds. I'll weigh in again in one month, around Sept. 15th. If I keep swimming everyday until then, and eat smaller portions, I should shed some pounds.

Now your talking Sis! Believe me, it is better to weigh yourself less. Even if you are the same weight (which I doubt you will be) you will have been more positive with your exercise than if you had been checking everyday. Stick to it Sis, I know you can do it! And yes Nate does rock! As so does my wife, who watches Ned when I go and play tennis twice a week....Yes that's TWICE a week! We both have spouse's that make it all possible, and thats where it all starts. We are both so lucky to have the support we have. Thank you Nate and Karen, YOU BOTH ROCK for putting up with your crazy Fitness Crazy Frutchey Spouses! We love ya!
True dat! I have been too busy to swim and exercise with several work trips this week. But I will dive right back into it when I am back at home for a bit.
If you're going to measure something everyday, try your heart rate when you first wake up in the morning? (Most consistent readings then, because it's the longest gap since you've eaten, probably.)
Also more important than weight: are you getting faster, in the pool, when you run, etc?
